Smiffy’s are proud sponsors of the 2012 Spalding FlowerParade, providing costumes and accessories for the dancers and performers takingpart in this fantastic event.  

The parade has attracted many visitors over the years sinceits introduction in 1959 and now welcomes around 50,000 visitors from acrossthe country each year.

Each of the parade floats are hand-made, with tulips being individuallyattached to the floats; this can take many months and is carried out by volunteersevery year.  The tulips are grown locallyand millions of tulips are used each year with as many as 100,000 tulip headson each float!

The theme for this year is ‘Food Glorious Food’, from the‘Some like it hot’ Mexican themed float to the health conscious ‘5-a-day’ floatwe have provided costumes for them all! Be sure to look out for the Smiffy’s ‘Let’sget Tropical Float’ and give us a wave!
