When it comes to local flower power there’s no one that does it better than the peeps over at Spalding Flower Parade.
Combine over 50 year’s heritage, millions of tulips and over 50,000 visitors and you’ve got a winning combination in our books! We were really excited to get on board with this event and to be able to support the parade. This year’s float themes fitted perfectly with our costumes and the parade included Smiffy’s outfits ranging from Victorian School children all the way through to Mexican bandits on the ‘Some Like It Hot’ float. Not even the sub-zero temperatures of the day could stop the party and there was a great cheer when the sun finally made an appearance – no matter how fleeting! This annual event brings a wonderful sense of community spirit and sees an impressive amount of local businesses support the parade in whatever way they can. Our personal highlight was the brilliant Hawaiian float which really gave everyone the summer vibe; something much needed at the moment! We can’t wait to see what Spalding has in store for next year and we look forward to being a part of this amazing event.
