Camp Bestival and Bestival 2011!
This year we were extremely proud to be, for the second year running, the official fancy dress sponsor at Bestival and Camp Bestival 2011.
Smiffy’s offered a fantastic range of costumes, wigs and accessories. Festival goers enjoyed some fabulous face painting and dress up transformations with The Smiffy's Experience and Smiffy’s were able to capture all those exciting festival memories in a themed photo area photo area.
It was fantastic to see so many people inspired and engaged in the world of dress up and to have festival goers remember us from last year. After such a successful second year Smiffy’s really feel firmly part of the Camp Bestival and Bestival family and enjoyed being able to attend such fantastic events. We hope everyone had an amazing festival fancy dress experience they will remember and look forward to being there again in 2012!

Camp Bestival 28th-31st July 2011 – Lulworth Castle, Dorest
When it comes to fancy dress at festivals Camp Bestival certainly shows the others how it’s done. This year’s medieval theme perfectly suited the castle venue. Set in the beautiful grounds of Lulworth Castle, Dorset, Camp Bestival is the most family friendly festival of the summer. There was an amazingly strong dress up presence running throughout the whole weekend including a fabulous fancy dress parade which toured the grounds on the Saturday. With the amount of gallant sword play fights and fair maidens it almost felt like you’d stepped back to medieval times.
Bestival 8th-11th September 2011 – Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight
Set in Robin Hill Country Park in the Isle of Wight, this festival has a serious passion for fancy dress, with ever more weird and wackier outfits seen each year. This year’s theme was Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Divas and it seemed everywhere you turned you bumped into either Michael Jackson or Freddy Mercury!
We had a fantastic response from everyone and enjoyed being a part of the fancy dress frenzy. We look forward to all the fancy dress excitement these two festivals have to bring next summer.
