Beginning in the 1920’s, it was during the Art Deco period where gloves became more of a fashion statement than ever before. Lace gloves were worn by women for special daytime occasions such as travelling, garden parties and weddings. We have much to thank Madonna for and the revival of lace gloves in the 1980s is one of them! The star often styled a pair of lace, fishnet or fingerless gloves into her looks, her ‘Lucky Star’ video featured a pair of Black Lace Fingerless Gloves and the ‘Like a Virgin’ look included White Lace Gloves.
